The High Commission for Grenada to the United Kingdom hosted “Flavours of Grenada 2026: An Investment, Trade & Tourism Showcase” on Tuesday, 8 September, at the Hilton London Metropole. The event brought together government leaders, investors,
business executives, international organizations, tourism professionals, and members of the diplomatic community for a full day of engagement focused on Grenada’s economic priorities and investment opportunities.

More than a showcase of Grenada’s distinctive products, tourism offerings, and investment potential, Flavours of Grenada 2026 provided a platform for economic engagement—connecting Grenada’s development priorities with international expertise, capital, markets and strategic partnerships.

The programme featured ministerial addresses, sector-focused discussions and a dedicated tourism and investment showcase highlighting some of Grenada’s internationally recognised products, including its award-winning chocolate and rum.

Chaired by British-Grenadian actor, Fraser James, the forum began with welcome remarks from Her Excellency Rachér Croney, High Commissioner for Grenada to the United Kingdom, and a keynote address from Grenada’s Minister of Finance, the Honourable Dennis Cornwall. Minster Cornwall provided an overview of the country’s macroeconomic environment, priority sectors, regulatory and incentives framework, and the practical opportunities available to investors and businesses seeking to establish or expand their presence in Grenada.

Discussions throughout the day addressed Grenada’s investment and trade climate, citizenship by investment pathways, tourism development, climate and renewable energy, the blue economy, and Project Polaris. Speakers included High Commissioner Rachér Croney, Ms. Renee Moses, Head of Immigration Migration Diasporic Affairs; Mr. Randall Dolland, Chairman of the Grenada Tourism Authority; Mr. Suresh Yadav, Director of the Climate Change and Oceans Directorate at the Commonwealth Secretariat; and Dr. Brendon LaGrenade, Grenada’s Chief Philanthropic Officer for Project Polaris.

High Commissioner Croney stated that, “Flavours of Grenada 2026 was convened not simply to highlight the investment opportunities in Grenada, but to create connections that move beyond conversation towards concrete collaboration. At a time when Britain is continuing to redefine and strengthen its trade and investment relationships internationally, Grenada offers a compelling gateway to opportunities in the Eastern Caribbean, and we look forward to turning the expressions of interest into meaningful action.”

Minister of Finance, Hon. Dennis Cornwall further added that, “Grenada has demonstrated resilience in the face of significant global and climatic challenges, while maintaining a disciplined approach to economic management. The economy has continued to grow,
supported by tourism, reconstruction activity and investment inflows. More importantly, Grenada is positioning itself not as an aid-dependent microstate, but as a high-performing small island economy seeking strategic partners for its next phase of development and expansion. The forum demonstrated the breadth of opportunities available across several sectors, and I am
encouraged by the caliber and seriousness of the investors willing to be a part of Grenada’s
development.”

The event also highlighted the importance of international cooperation in advancing Grenada’s climate, energy and infrastructure ambitions. Mr. Suresh Yadav, Director of the Climate Change and Oceans Directorate at the Commonwealth Secretariat affirmed the
Commonwealth’s commitment to supporting Grenada, stating,” Grenada has taken substantial measures to attract private sector investment, and we in the Climate Change, Ocean, Energy and Natural Resources Directorate, are pleased to support Grenada both on the ground and through policy reform, to help make it a viable destination for investment in energy and
infrastructure.”

Flavours of Grenada was deliberately designed to position Grenada as a credible investment destination; to create direct trade and institutional partnerships; to connect Grenada’s development priorities with UK, European, and Commonwealth expertise and capital; and ultimately, to take the conversations beyond the room and into real projects and partnerships. The aim is one of delivery—turning investment interest into active due diligence, strengthening institutional collaboration, creating opportunities for trade, and encouraging participation in a Trade and Investment Mission to Grenada facilitated by the High Commission.

The High Commission views these relationships as an important part of Grenada’s broader socio-economic development strategy. By bringing international investors, businesses and institutions closer to Grenada, the country can expand access to capital and expertise while opening new markets for Grenadian enterprises, strengthening entrepreneurship and supporting sustainable employment and economic opportunity.

The day concluded with a networking reception featuring curated rum tastings together with Grenadian chocolate, delicacies, and live music. Participants were encouraged not simply to leave with a brochure or having exchanged cards, but to leave with a potential partnership, a project to explore, and a reason to visit Grenada – because Grenada is ready to engage, ready to listen, ready to facilitate, and open for business.
