High Commissioner Rachér Croney Serves as Guest of Honour at London School of Management Education (LSME) Annual Convocation

Her Excellency Rachér Croney, High Commissioner for Grenada to the United Kingdom, served as Guest of Honour at the London School of Management Education (LSME) Annual Convocation, which took place on Tuesday, 16th September 2025.

The prestigious ceremony, held at The Mayfair in Romford, celebrated the academic achievements of LSME graduates and recognised outstanding contributions to management education. High Commissioner Croney delivered a keynote address to
the graduates, their families, and distinguished guests from the academic and
diplomatic communities.

In her address, High Commissioner Croney emphasised the significance of their achievement stating, “Today is not just a ceremony – it is a milestone. It’s the day your hard work, your late nights, your perseverance, and your belief in yourself
converge into one defining moment. Today, you cross a threshold – from preparation to possibility.” The High Commissioner noted that as LSME students, they have been explorers of ideas, challengers of assumptions, builders of skills, and ambassadors of
integrity. She further admonished the graduates to be the leader the world needs by stating, “As you move forward, remember this: leadership is not a title—it’s a choice – it’s an act. It’s a commitment to take responsibility, to act with courage, and to uplift
others along the way… Choose integrity over expedience. Choose empathy over ego. Choose impact over comfort.

The convocation programme featured the presentation of diplomas, special recognitions including the coveted ‘Student of the Year’ award and addresses from LSME leadership including Principal Dr. Sarita Parhi, Board Chair, Professor Stephen
McKinney, Executive Director, Dr. Ravi Kumar, and Chief Guest, Lord Daniel Brennan.

The High Commissioner commended the work that LSME is doing in its recruitment of international students, and took the opportunity to discuss with Senior Leadership, avenues for potential partnerships, including scholarships. LSME has established itself as a leading institution in management education, preparing business professionals who serve communities both in the UK and internationally. The school’s commitment to academic excellence and practical training, aligns with Grenada’s own emphasis on quality education linked to social and economic development.

The High Commissioner’s participation in this ceremony underscored the strong educational and cultural ties between Grenada and the United Kingdom, particularly in the field of education where collaboration continues to benefit both nations. The ceremony represented not only academic achievements but also the international character of modern management education, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds including the Caribbean region. The High Commission for Grenada looks forward to working with LSME and other educational institutions in the United Kingdom to ensure equitable access, and
increased opportunities for Grenadians to study in the UK.
