Grenada’s High Commissioner Rachér Croney Awarded at the International Leaders Summit at the House of Lords

Her Excellency Rachér Croney, High Commissioner for Grenada to the United Kingdom, was accorded the honour of being celebrated as a Distinguished Guest at the esteemed International Leaders’ Summit & Awards 2025, held within the House of Lords at the UK Parliament. This distinguished diplomatic forum, hosted under the gracious patronage of Baroness Sandip Verma, convened eminent personalities from across the globe to commend exemplary leadership and foster high-level international engagement.

In a moment of profound recognition, High Commissioner Croney was formally presented with an accolade during the International Book of Achievers Award Ceremony. This distinguished honour was conferred by Ms. Gaganeet Kaur and Mr. Nitish Arora, Directors of MSG Advert Ltd., in tribute to Her Excellency’s outstanding diplomatic service and her resolute efforts in fortifying Grenada’s international alliances and global stature.

The summit, a confluence of visionary leadership and strategic diplomacy, witnessed the presence of several high-ranking dignitaries including Her Royal Majesty Queen Vickylextar of the Royal Omanye Kingdom, West Africa, Dr. Bu Abdullah of the United Arab Emirates, and Hon. Alain St. Ange, former Minister of Tourism, now presidential candidate of the Republic of Seychelles. The event also recognized the distinguished service of Her Excellency Nimisha Madhvani, High Commissioner of Uganda to the UK, thereby reinforcing a spirit of multilateral cooperation and unity among nations. Executive Administrator at the High Commission for Grenada, Ashraf Nehal was also the recipient of a Diplomatic Dreamer Award for youth diplomatic engagements and his contributions to policy development.

High Commissioner Croney’s recognition at this esteemed gathering underscores the ascendancy of Grenada’s diplomatic outreach and its pivotal role in global conversations. The summit afforded unparalleled opportunities for engagement with key British parliamentary figures, including MP Bob Blackman, MP Barry Gardiner, Lord Sahota and Lord Raj Dholakia, facilitating meaningful discourse on shared interests and future collaboration.

Baroness Sandip Verma, member of the UK House of Lords since 2006 and Chancellor of the University of Roehampton, presided over the proceedings. Her leadership imbued the event with both ceremonial splendour and strategic intent, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and celebrating global excellence within the majestic precincts of Westminster.

This singular honour conferred upon Her Excellency Rachér Croney not only reflects the Grenadian government’s robust diplomatic vision but also affirms its unwavering commitment to deepening bilateral relations with the United Kingdom. Furthermore, it opens new pathways for dynamic partnerships with Commonwealth allies and emerging economies, particularly in the spheres of sustainable development, tourism, trade, and cultural exchange.
